The purpose of this module is to provide all individuals working in the health and social care setting guidance on how to protect and minimise the risks to employees/locum workers posed by chemical materials within their current place of work.

Individuals working in a clinical setting are more at risk of exposure to hazardous substances and employers have a legal obligation to implement precautionary measures to control such risks and prevent occupational ill-­­health. Thousands of employees becomeill duetowork related exposure to hazards and this costs industries and society millions of pounds per year.
